Termas de Chaves grow in number of visitors: 18 per cent more than in 2023 and 73 per cent more than in 2022
These figures attest to the growing demand and popularity of the Termas de Chaves. In the first half of this year alone, 5,606 bathers passed through the Balneário Flaviense, 18 per cent more than in the same period in 2023. There were 1,428 users in the Healing area (treatments) and 4,178 in Wellness (services). April and May were the months with the highest turnout.
For Brigite Gonçalves, the centre's administrator, "these have been very positive months for the spa, even surpassing the figures for 2022 and 2023, which had already been exceptional. Overall, the increase in users was 18 per cent compared to 2023 and 73 per cent compared to 2022, making this the best start to the thermal season ever," she reveals.
"We believe that this continued growth is due not only to the intrinsic characteristics of our water, but also to the quality of the treatments and services we provide. It's no coincidence that Termas de Chaves was recently honoured with the "Five Star Regions 2024 Award" by consumers," explains Brigite Gonçalves.
She also emphasises the growing number of spa visitors in the Wellness area. "Compared to last year, we saw a 22 per cent increase in May, a figure that shows not only the value but also the diversity of our services," she explains. "It's also beneficial for the local economy, especially for the hotel and catering sector, which also ends up receiving many of these visitors," she summarises.
